How to Recreate Amanda Seyfried Makeup Look at the Emmys

Amanda Seyfried’s Face Makeup at the Emmy Awards

For a healthy glow and smooth base for makeup, Genevieve started the makeup look with skincare, firstly prepping the skin with Advanced Génifique Hydrogel Sheet Mask to instantly plump and add a glow to the skin. After, Genevieve applied Advanced Génifique Face Serum to lock in hydration for beautifully radiant and smoother looking skin. Once the face serum was absorbed, Genevieve moisturized skin with our Absolue Brightening & Revitalizing Soft Cream to provide radiance and 24-hour hydration, teamed with Advanced Génifique Eye Cream to instantly hydrate and visibly smooth any fine lines under the eyes.

Once skin has been prepped and moisturized with a red-carpet skincare routine, Genevieve moved on to the face makeup. For a healthy natural glow, Genevieve blended Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Care & Glow Foundation in 090 all over Amanda’s skin. Our glow variation of our classic Teint Idole Foundation, this foundation provides a 24-hour healthy glow with buildable medium coverage. To help conceal and brighten the under eye area Genevieve applied Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Concealer in 090 under the eyes and also along the T-zone to brighten the complexion. To finish off the face and add pop of color, Genevieve applied the pink shade from the Lancôme Blush Subtil Palette in New Nude to the apples of the cheeks.

With Amanda’s mermaid-inspired dress serving as the main inspiration for her eye makeup look at the Emmys Genevieve created a soft glam smoky eye with a hint of amethyst eyeshadow tones for a makeup look that is timeless and romantic.

Firstly to create the look Genevieve sculpted the eyes with Lancôme Hypnôse 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette in Reflet D’Améthyste. Firstly, Genevieve used the lighter shades as base for the look and applied the medium and darker shades into the crease of the eyes and along the lower lash line.

Next Genevieve applied our pencil eyeliner Le Stylo Waterproof Eyeliner in #09 Prune Radical as close to the lash line as possible and used the included smudging tool to smudge product and feather it out for a smoky effect. The purple tones of this eyeliner created a jewel tone amethyst effect to the eyes.

As the final step Genevieve applied two coats Lancôme Le 8 Hypnôse Mascara for revitalized, voluminous lashes.

To finish the look, Genevieve created a soft rosy nude lip. First she lined Amanda’s lips with Lancôme Le Lip Liner in Fraichelle and then applied Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Peut Être a cool pink orchid shade which complements Amanda’s fair skin tone.
