A smokey eye is one of the most classic eye makeup looks – but rather than going for the classic grey and smokey tones – consider going for a brown eyeshadow look to create a softer look. To create a brown and bronzy smokey eye, try our Hypnôse 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette in Nude Sculptural.

Step 1: Start off by defining the crease of the eyes using the matte brown shade. Blend out the shade with a soft brush and really work up towards the crease to soften and buff the eyeshadow and create a smokey haze.

Step 2: To add dimension apply some shimmer to the eyes using the medium brown shimmer shade directly to the center of the eyelids and blend upwards towards the crease of the eye.

Step 3: For an illuminated look apply the lightest shade just to the inner corners of the eyes. This will help to draw in light and create a beautiful contrast along the dark and smokey tones.

Step 4: To create the smokey look and add extra drama to the eyes apply the darkest shade to the upper lash line. Use a small brush to line and define the eyes, applying the shade as an eyeliner and softly smoking it out to create the smokey look.

Step 5: For the ultimate finishing touch apply a few coats of mascara. Add lift and length to the lashes using our Lash Idôle Lash-Lifting Mascara which helps create a lash extension effect to lashes.

Tip: Prep eyelids with our eye primer and lashes with our mascara primer for a look that lasts all night!

Bronzed Skin and Blush

Whilst the focus may remain on the eyes when it comes to creating a smokeshow glam – blush and bronzer should not be forgotten.

Blush & Bronze: In a makeup look that is all about bronze and brown tones on the eyes it’s important to avoid overloading the look with too much brown. To create a sunkissed look which blush apply the Blushing Tresor shade across the bridge of your nose, temples, and the cheeks.

Highlight: After creating a bronze glow with blush it’s time to add some highlight and shimmer to the rest of the face. Apply rose gold highlighter to the tops of the cheekbones for an added glow.

Lip Gloss to Complement Smokey Eyes

For the finishing touch skip a bold lipstick shade and instead go for something a little softer. Apply our L’Absolu Gloss in Atelier Parisian 213 as a sheer pink shade with subtle shimmer it ensures the focus of the makeup remains on the smokey eyes.
